In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi has gone to visit his aunt's family grave. Hiroshi tells us that he's not sure what to say to Hiroshi now that his aunt is dead. He wants to go shopping with his mom, but he doesn't know what to tell Hiroshi. He tells her that he wants to make her happy, but that it's going to be a false bond. He's hoping that she'll do something for him, too, and that he can be a good father to her. As Hiroshi and his mom walk around, Hiroshi says that he would have been happy if he hadn't been trying to make his mom happy. He says that if he could just make her feel better, then he'd be able to be good to her, too. But he realizes that this is going to work, and he wants Hiroshi to be happy for him all these years. He asks his mom if she's happy, and she says that she is. She looks happy, he says, because she looks happy to be with him. Then he asks her if she knows how happy she is, and when she says yes, he tells her to stop flirting so much with him at work.
