About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of the meal that oyako prepares for him. The narrator tells us that he's a big fan of oya and wants to try his hand at cooking for the first time. He's also a huge fan of the way that tama talks. He says that he can't wait to cook for oya because it'll make him feel better. He also says that the food is so salty and the egg so hard that he doesn't want to force himself to eat it. Everyone always takes him to fancy places to eat, so it's kind of weird that he hasn't had anyone else cook for him before. Ooh, it sounds like tama probably wishes he'd left with the other guy right now. Aww, that sounds like a bad idea. But then again, tama has said so many nice things about oya in the past that it makes the narrator feel better about himself again. He asks oya if she's had sex with him before, and she says yes. He then asks tama if he squeezes or twitches or anything like that, and tama says that's what he did today. He goes on to say that he was so fast today that he didn't notice the stray cat's reaction to him. Then he says that if tama had looked back, he would have noticed that the cat wasn't responding to him in the same way that he responded to the other cat. So tama went after the cat, and the cat responded to him with a "flumpy feeling" . Translation: the cat is trying to get back at tama for making her feel bad about having sex with tama. Translation? That's right, the cat was responding to tama
