It's been three months since they last saw each other, and now they're waiting for each other beneath a willow tree. They're both pretty freaked out by the whole thing, but they manage to stay connected by hiding beneath the tree. The narrator tells us that she's sorry that she didn't tell him sooner, but that she doesn't blame him for making her feel rejected. She's not mad, she says, but she'd like to be able to show her what it's like to have a crush on someone.
