About This Chapter
In this short scene, Agamemnon explains that he meant to say that the island of Jodhia has been taken over by Tartarath, the king of the island. He says that he has sent an army of soldiers to fight the island's inhabitants, but that nothing has happened. He tells the audience that he is a loser, and that he feels sorry for the governor, who has sealed the island off from the rest of the world. He adds that the governor is the "master of our island," and that the river that flows through the island is the source of his tears. He explains that when the governor tears, the river flows into the island, and he seals it off. The river flows under a column of rocks, and the two men are ready to jump into the air, but the rocks spit rocks every year, and they are now trapped in the river. They are ready, but once again, the rock spits rocks. Aram says that they will be crushed by the impact of the rock, and lyrena will seal the spring. They take the bridge leading to the kingdom of tartarath. . he tells them that he will fight one of them, the strongest. The mythical treat , he says, does not exist, and whoever eats it will turn into a "statue made of stone" . He wants to know if they are willing to give their lives to defend their father's kingdom. They have ten seconds, but they must use their lightning powers faster than lightning. They will climb on their backs. They do not know what the meaning is of this statement, and Aram wonders if it means that there is "jodhia" in the name of "tarth." He wonders if there might be another piece of the mythical treat that he can use to lift his spirits.
