The next morning, the gods are angry with Theseus because he has offended them. He asks her if she is sure of what she is telling him. She says that she is, and that aegeus has killed everyone in the forest. He tells her that he is her father's daughter and that if he finds out that she has offended him, he will kill her and torture her. She tells him that she does not deserve to be killed, and she asks him to show her that she deserves his love. He gives her a price, which he says is too high for her, and he tells her to get up and leave. He says that the next round of fighting is about to begin. He apologizes to his friend, saying that he was proud of her performance. He adds that he learned to fight because each new opponent made him stronger and stronger. When his girls learn who owns them, they are happier, he says. He offers her hospitality, but she refuses. He has a proposition for her
