Imani is by far one of the three characters I’m most interested in learning more about. She’s so beautiful and so successful, being both academically and physically gifted. She comes from old money and runs her own company, she graduated top of her class at Harvard; she’s just the whole package! It’s also important to note that Imani is a powerful woman, an assumedly strong-willed woman, the OPPOSITE of a passive woman unlike most of the wives married to men of such high influence. I believe the reason Imani listened to Gyuu when he told her to smile was not because she feared him, or because he has this overwhelming control over her, but because (to an extent) she agrees with his logic. Gyuu has an obsession with being the perfect, strong, and successful family and Imani shares a similar sentiment. They’re Nakamuras and Goro is the heir to the Nakamura conglomerate and sole heir to the Lenoa corporation, as Imani said in chapter 5 “You have to be perfect, shove it down.” THAT’S the expectation, and hopefully, it’s also a reminder that Imani is not an innocent victim in the treatment of Goro, Goro hates BOTH his parents for a reason.

I wonder how goro will react. He obviously left him alive for a reason.

I can't wait for Turtle and Shoto to merge together, then for Goro to realise that their relationship has to change. Turtle I hope will help Shoto to deal with his family once and for all

Goro blushing too is everything

I have been on the fence about buying this as a graphic novel but this chapter has helped me to decide it will be worth the money to purchase the books……

It took me a while to realize when Shoto says “thanks for teaching me that, Goro-San,” it’s in reference to chapter 027 where Goro encourages Shoto to “distort the truth.” He tells Shoto “you are the victim, and all you must do is play the role accurately.” I like the detail of Shoto finally embracing the fact that he too carries power in these situations and Goro’s the one who is encouraging him to do so. They’re both embracing the extent of their influence to do what they believe is right and this is going to bring in so much more drama and action, I’m excited.
