The next morning, the narrator goes to work. He's wearing a loose-fitting shirt and pants, so he doesn't have to worry about the smell of cologne. He tells his assistant that he's going to have dinner with a friend and then he'll have to pick him up after the dinner is over. When he gets home, he finds out that the course is only a month long.
