It's been a long time since we've seen Alice, and now that she's back in the city, Alice wants to thank her mom for letting her stay. She wants to be a big sister to her, and she wants her mom to let her stay so she can be with her. She's not going to ask her mom not to call her mom, though, because she'd rather go to another town. The mom tells Alice that if she wants to become a teacher, she'll have to learn how to teach herself. She tells Alice to get used to the routine of teaching, and then she can go back to being a normal girl. Alice is excited to see what's going on around her, but she can't help thinking about all the crazy things that are going on in her new town. She thinks about how many carriers pigeons are flying around, how many tails are flapping around, and how many bubbles are floating around in the air. Alice's excited to be able to help out around the city again, but first she has to change out of her crazy clothes, and get back to the business of teaching. Alice thinks about the crazy stuff that's happening in her town, and wonders why she hasn't been there for so long. She wonders if maybe she has changed a lot in the years since she left, and if maybe it's just because she has been away so long, or maybe she just wants to rest. Alice says that she has always been fascinated by fantastical stories, and that now she is imagining herself in a fantastical story. She looks at the ring that Alice is wearing, and thinks that it might be the crown prince, but then she realizes that it isn't him, but Alice, who has waited so long to see her mom again.
