The next morning, the Governess returns to her office to find Mr. Lorry waiting for her at the door. The Governess is surprised to see Lorry there, as she had thought he was waiting for someone else. She asks Lorry why he hasn't greeted her, and Lorry tells her that he's waiting for a girl. He tells her to leave him to his own devices, and he'll pick her up the next day.
