Well, it turns out that the girl's BFF's dad is dead, so she's got to figure out a way to be friends with him now that he's gone. So she asks the butler if he'd like to be her BFF, and the butler says yes. They're going to go out for a double date, and then they'll tell the girl how much they like each other.
