In this chapter, we're introduced to a new character named Milady. Milady is a young woman who's in love with a young man named Hiroyuki. She's also very fond of Hiroyuki's butler, Mr. Murasaki. We're also introduced to some of the other characters in the book, such as Mr. Seward, who has a crush on Milady, and Mr. Nemo, who loves Milady even more than she loves him.
