Back in the present, we're introduced to a new character, shin. He's a childhood friend of our heroine's, shinya, and he's also the guy who teased her when she was a little girl. Turns out, she's the one who teased him when he was in school, and she still teases him today. She asks him what he should look like when he meets her, and asks him if he knows anything about her childhood friend, masaki. He says he'll tell her anything about him if she'll come out with him after work. Oh, and if she doesn't tell him anything about masaki, then he should go out with three other guys. We're not sure what that means, but it sounds like they're going out after work, so we'll have to wait and see. The two of them decide to go out, and when they see that shinya has already left with another guy, they decide to run away together. They're both bummed that they can't go home together, but they both feel good about each other, so they'll go out anyway. When they get to the hotel lobby, shin asks what's going on, and masaki says it's because he just asked a customer what he wanted, and the customer asked him what the customer wanted. They both realize that masaki is trying to steal their friendship, and they both freak out at the thought that they've just made love.
