The narrator tells us that he's moving to a new school and wants to finish his school career with a victory. He's got a plan: he'll go to a school in the same town as his old friend, who's super-cool and super-awesome at baseball. The narrator's friend, shin, is super cool and super awesome at baseball, too. He used to be the hero of his life, and now he wants to beat him in high school. He wants to do it in the most fun way possible. He asks his friend, ami, if she'd like to meet him at the new school. The two of them meet again on the platform. This time, it's shin and ami. They're both uni students, and they're hanging out at the same host club. This is the first time they've ever met each other, and shin is super-excited to see them. He tells his friend that the shin from seven years ago was a super-positive guy, and he never saw him again. Now, he says, the shin who was so positive is no longer a hero, and the shin that's been so positive in the past is not a hero anymore. He says that if he were a perfect girlfriend, he'd quit being a host. But if he is a perfect friend, he has to quit being the host. So the narrator asks the shin what's going on. The shin says that he doesn't know, and that he just wants to stop hanging out with the girl. He then asks where his friend is, and where is he going to be when he gets there.
