The scene opens with Toiya and Hiroyuki talking about the beauty of the blue sky, white sand, and sparkling sea. Hiroyuki tells Toiya that he is staying in a cottage for the first time. Toiya asks him if he has been drinking, to which Hiroyuki replies that he has not. Touya asks if Hiroyuki has been hanging out at the skytree, and Toiya says that he hasn't. Tooya says that it's time for the festival, but Hiroyuki doesn't know what to make of it. He says that everyone knows that human sacrifice should be an outsider, and that Toiya is the one who makes them laugh. He wants to continue their conversation, but he can't stop teasing Hiroyuki, who is so deep in thought that he cannot take it anymore. The conversation turns to the flag that waved at the end of the parade, which is in tatters. Toya asks Hiroyuki if he can show her the flag, and he says that even if he could fix it, he would still have to be tired. He wonders if he will be able to drink the flag bearer in seven years, and if he'll be strong enough to drink it again. He asks her if she will be by his side for life, and she says that she would like to be. She thanks him for the gift.
