About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he's happy to see that Mrs. Sawyer is smiling at him, even though she's always thinking about the silly story she told Mr. Sawyer. She's also happy that he doesn't call her by her first name, because it's kind of weird for him to use her middle name. The narrator says he'll go to the farmer's market to find out what the farmer is up to. The farmer tells the narrator that he has a client who wants him to come to his house. He's going to leave the planning and budgeting to the guy. The guy asks the narrator what's up, and the narrator tells him that he heard from his grandmother that the farmer was doing flower arranging. The man didn't know his middle name, so he just used his full name to trick the narrator into thinking that he was a flower arranger. The gardener tells the man that the house is full of luxury, and that the plants are healthy. He also tells the guy that he needs to work on his communication skills. He says that the guy is good at his job, but he needs more to do with his communication. He asks the guy if he'd like to join him for dinner, but the guy says that he can't because he works for a trading company, which is a lot like the guy's job. He wants to meet up with the guy for dinner because he likes the guy, and he wants to make sure that
