In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named caly, who is a member of the girls' basketball team. She is a friend of Barbara's, and she and Barbara have decided to go swimming together at a sports camp. Barbara, however, has a problem: she has her phone on "airplane mode" , which means that she can't send a message to Barbara when she's not on the phone. When she finally gets to the camp, she finds that Barbara has left a message for her, but that she has not heard from her since then.
