for me a pinoy, the colonisation pisses me off i hate that we were stripped of our actual origin, like we had our own until colonisation happened,,, there are only the true filipinos, which are pure filipinos that live in the islands, is what my dad told me i don’t remember much but yea sucks because i was born in a white country didn’t get to learn tagalog because the gov wants us to learn their language that they don’t really speak anymore, and the fact that Irish kids and teens hate learning their language is absolutely ironic, thus everyone drops irish as a subject because it’s not important to them, that’s what happens in colonisation, the british did that, there’s a lot of irish people that hate the british because of their brutal past and unfairness., Yea we don’t like the british, not because it’s apparently biased, no it’s the opposite, the british were very biased towards us irish people, deeming irish people as barbaric and as “leprechauns” because the british sees irish people as dirt and there’s been a lot of arrogance from the british to the irish. that’s why we hate the british, because of their failed colonisation, and irish people are pissed and thus they will always remember their culture or tries to atleast, but they are doing a very good job for schools relearning their mother tongue even tho kids dislike learning it. so yea colonisation ruins shit
