Summary
Film enthusiast Mao Tsuchiya and his lone wolf roommate Hisashi Otomo make three promises: ? That Mao will never tell anyone that Hisashi is gay and has a boyfriend, ? That Hisashi will never approach Mao “in that way,” and ? That they'll respect each other's “private time.” The second-years' ground rules should ensure a peaceful life together in their dorm, but reality is never as simple as it seems in the movies, and some things are not so easily promised...

Lindo y disfrutable BL 🥰🥰🥰

Such a great series! Read all 3 volumes straight.
Other thoughts:
They are actual volumes, not chapters. Makes it a bit hard to navigate if you want to go back to see something in particular, and seemed to crash my app when I tried to jump volumes too fast.
First volume couple is unfortunately not seen in the second volume (only one half is), but events follow chronologically.
The second volume follows a different character (introduced in the first volume), and one of the third years that aren’t shown in the first volume. Was disappointed at first, because couple #1 were awesome and I wanted more, but couple #2 were great too, so give them a chance — they are both characters whose outward facades and first impressions don’t capture their depth. It was nice getting to know them.
Unfortunately, couple #2 doesn’t show up in Volume 3. I was really hoping to see both couples together for some interaction, or just the influences of both characters being paired, but they never overlapped and there’s not much to see in regard to that. Only the very last extra scene seemed to capture couple #2’s potential, but I found it a bit confusing as it was a scene chronologically meant to be in the beginning of the first volume. And we don’t even get to see the other guy’s face, they just pass in the hall. It made it seem like volume #3 should have followed Volume #1, and thus it teased at what came in Volume #2, like a spin off… anyway, chronologically, they are in order as 1,2,3, with volume 1 following second years making a movie for their festival competition, and volume 2 following the third years making their movie, and volume 3 telling us who actually won.
I feel like less happened in Volume 3, as it was more navigating being a couple and being kids about to make their life plans, and a bit of growing up, without the focus of “let’s make this movie” motivations, but was still very sweet and I love seeing the Couple #1 together, and spying half of couple #2 in hopes to see something lovey (I didn’t spot anything though).
Anyway, loved their passion for film and each other, not just the couples, but the other characters striving to pull their films together and think about their futures, and working together. Wish there was more. I really wanted to see the second couple, especially after the results of the movie competition. Really, really wanted to see them navigate that and continuing their relationship. For that matter, all the third years would have been nice to see (they were pretty lol and had charisma as a group)
