The narrator wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes that he's been trapped in the mirror. He's sure he fell asleep there. He wakes up to find that there's no one else in the room except him. He wonders why it's so dark in the study, and he wonders what's going on. He can't figure out who's talking to him.
