In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, Gammaru Kazuro. He is a young man who has just returned from a battle in which he was wounded. He tells the audience that he was injured in the battle because he accidentally unleashed his power on the ground. He apologizes to everyone who saw him. He explains that he cannot resurrect the spirit of Roxane exactly, but he can use her soul to power a glass orb and then put her in an artificial body. In other words, he can't do what he wants to do for Roxane, which is to save her from being put into a situation where she will face hell again. He asks the audience to accept his offer to fight for her.
