Back at the palace, Alcibiades tells Elrich that he's not going anywhere with his guards. He's just gained a new ability, called "the keys touch" , which means he can touch anything. Elrich says that his mother gave him this ability when she gave the keys to her trusted royal guard, Sir Elrich, back in the day. The keys touch is the key to the kingdom of Bargonia, and it's what they're after, not the other way around. So, Elrich's got a pretty good idea of what's going on.
