In this chapter, the narrator recalls his time on the same high school running team as the other students. He also recalls the words that he heard from the teacher when he was a student: "just find a destination, and always look for it". The narrator then goes on to say that he went abroad on 11th grade to study. He recalls that the teacher told him that he would find "real and worthy companions" in every race and that he should always be looking forward to the next race. The narrator says that he will do his best on the track as well.
