In this chapter, we learn that Will is beginning to think that his master is over his head. He's also beginning to realize that he's going to have to fight the monster himself. The monster runs after Will, and Will runs after the monster. Will tries to stop the fight, but the monster is too quick. Will tells his dad to stop fighting, and then he and Lily run off to get help.
