Back in high school, the narrator is having a conversation with a girl from her class. The girl is pretty, but she doesn't seem to be anything special. She's also pretty small. The narrator tells us that she's had a lot of sex in her life, but that she hasn't had sex with anyone since graduating from high school 10 years ago. She also tells us about her ex-boyfriend, who's now working in a foreign country and has to go back to school to get his master's degree. She tells the narrator that her ex broke up with her because he didn't want her to tell him about their love affair. She says that at graduation, he apologized to her and told her that he'd like her to have sex with him again. She asks the narrator if she can apologize to her ex if she wants to, but the narrator says that she can't, since he's too busy to do so. She wants to apologize to the guy who broke her heart, but it's hard for her to say.
