In this chapter, we learn that the two of them have fallen out of love, and that they've tried to hide it from each other. They've even gone so far as to say that they feel "a completely different person" from the one they used to be. This is the first time we've heard anyone say this, and we're not sure if it's true or not, but we do know that this isn't going to be the last time we hear it. We're guessing that this is the last we'll hear of it, because the narrator says that he's not going to tell anyone about it. He's going to keep it a secret, though, because he doesn't want anyone to think that he has anything to do with it.
