In this chapter, we learn that Madame Bovary is dead, and that she will not be seeing her daughter again for a long, long time. In fact, she is so fat and beautiful that she is going to eat all the food that she can get her hands on since she is not able to see her daughter anymore. We learn that the immortals will not see her again for at least a long time, so she will have to find her own way back to the earth. She will then be reborn as a beautiful young woman.
