It's been a while since we've seen the protagonist, and now he's back at the office. He's complaining about his boss, who's just brought him coffee to make him feel better. He doesn't seem to mind that his boss is a jerk, though, because he can't figure out how to use his new invention. The protagonist complains about the pen, which is supposed to take care of a woman's body with a "gentlemanly" massage function. He thinks that the switch on the pen is too loose, which could lead to a "malfunc" . He wonders if they should make the switch more difficult to use, or if they could just make it so that the woman won't be able to use it anymore. He also wonders if the protagonist's face is red, which he thinks is a sign that the protagonist is blushing. The project department is full of useless ideas, the protagonist says, so they're working on something that's going to cause more problems than it solves. He wants to use the pen with two fingers, so he can control it with one hand and a woman with the other. This would be ideal, he says, because it would be easier for the protagonist to control the pen while holding it against his shoulder. This is sexual harassment, he thinks, and he'd like to cut it out. He realizes that this is the first time the protagonist has ever seen such an "expres sion" on his boss. He wishes he could use his long fingers to give him a massage.
