The narrator tells us that he's going to change the light bulb in his room. He's worried that it's not going to work, but he can fix it. He tells the young master to turn the bulb around so that it won't rust. The young master says he can do it, but it'll be dangerous, so he'll have to do it by himself. The narrator is so excited that he runs off to get help.
