The scene opens with a grunt signaling the arrival of the Governess. The Governess complains that the weather was "sensitive all night" and that she has not been able to signal her husband with her eyes. She asks him to move to the other side of the room, but he refuses to move. She calls him a "brat" and tells him to get up. He responds by saying that he is going to die if he gives her the kiss. He tells her that he intends to "drive a wedge" in her and "smack smack ahh" . He says that he has been making "eyes at" her ever since she came to see him. He adds that he will "cut in" whenever a girl tries to flirt with him. She says that she will give him a packed lunch and go to class. He asks her if she wants to try the kiss and she says yes. She gasps and asks him if he can only do this and never work. She tells him that he must be crazy and that he cannot only do what he is doing and not work. He calls her an "adult" and asks her to pick up the kiss from him and take it to her auntie. She replies that she does not have time to do so, but that she is free now. He takes her to his car and tells her to put on her seat belt. He then says that the director is "pretty good-looking" after he sees him up close
