The ward invites the protagonist to come by anytime to play with him. He tells the protagonist that his name is "kaname kun" , and that he looks forward to playing the king game with him anytime. The two of them smile at the king command, which is "absuo lute," or "the two of us." The protagonist says that the king commands him to make a mark on the ground, but he doesn't know how to do it. He wonders if the king is just using him, or if he's just being used. When the protagonist asks him what the king just commanded him to do, the protagonist replies that he was invited to his house, but that he didn't want to go because he was afraid of losing the game with the king. He says that around the time he entered college, the invitation from the king stopped coming, and he was still thinking about the kiss. He's wondering if there's something wrong with him and if he has feelings for the protagonist. He goes on to say that he is now a student at a high school, and is nervous because he hasn't seen the protagonist in a long time.
