In this chapter, Shmoop introduces us to a young man who lives in a shopping street. He's not really a boy, but he's got a pretty good sense of humor. He asks a random stranger if he lives in the same shopping street as him. The stranger answers that he does, but that he doesn't know who lives there. The young man says that he'd like to meet up with his friend, Sagami, who lives on the other side of the street. The two of them have been hanging out a lot lately, and he says he wants to hang out with Sagami more often. He wants to know why he started to like Sagami so much, when he was really just trying to get to know him better. He admits that he lied to Sagami about wanting sex, and that he would never do such a thing if it weren't for him.
