About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he's been having an affair with a guy named akisada, who owns a club. He's super-hot, super-confident, and super-easy to fall in love with. The narrator is super-excited about the fact that he can cook, clean, and do all sorts of other things that men can do. He says that this guy is "too damn perfect" for him. He wants to go out with him, but he can't bring himself to meet him at his usual place because it's a busy day. So he asks his girlfriend to go with him. She's all, "OK, I'll meet you at my usual place" . But she's not having it. She looks flushed, and the narrator thinks that something's wrong. He asks her to stop snickering, and she says that's what she'll do. She tells him that he looks "like some thing is troubling you again" , and he says that he doesn't know what's troubling her. She says that she'd like to know why . She asks him if he was "busy" the night before, and when he didn't say anything, she thinks that he was busy because he was juggling a lot of things, like running a club and being a dad. She also says that , even if , , he is an adult, he still has his worries about love. So she asks him to go to the bar, where she knows he'll be late.
