In this chapter, we learn that the curse has been broken, and that the girl is now able to see the real Victor. She has brought a change in him, and the family is happy to see it. Victor tells us that he has never been happier in his life, and he wonders if he could have been happier with his family if they were free. They are still his family, he says, and they still teach him to dance. He tells her that her father is locked up in the village, and she has to go to him. Victor says that he is glad that he was able to free her, because she was missing something.
