About This Chapter
In this short scene, James tells his son that he's going to share some of his favorite breakfast foods with him. He tells him that if he sits with him and watches the movie, they can even snuggle under the blankets like they used to do when they were younger. He also tells his father that he still expects his son to act like his friend luka, but that his mother is just sitting around talking on the phone, so he'll just have to wait a little longer. James then tells his dad to go to his room and leave him alone. He says that he doesn't want to give a hot bath to his son right now because poor Ameya might be starving by now. He then tells James that he should make some of the famous spaghetti and meatballs that he always makes for his son. James says that his only friend understands him, and that he has only one suitcase left. He's all set, he says, and he can't wait to tell his mom why she's not at home. She says that her glasses are a "dead give away" and that she forgot to remove them. James is all, "I've been waiting for these events for months . . what am I going to tell her . that my brother will take care of everyone whate !" James then says that they buried luka in their favorite tree, but now that they've moved, they don't have the money to do so. He opened up a gallery in his hometown, but the gallery lacked his own works.
