It's back to business as usual for the Underground Man. He's happy with his victory, but he's not satisfied. He wants to know what's wrong with the others. They're still in position, he says, and they're not going to give up. He can't understand why they haven't picked up the phone, and he wants to call an ambulance. The Underground Man is all, "what's going on?" and "what is going on? Please, someone answer me!" .
