BLAME! Academy and So On

The chapter opens with a description of the city, which is made up of countless floors that are separated from one another by the massive structure. The only person who knows about the city is the Prefect, who is receiving life-extension treatment. The Prefect sent a message asking the central government to find a way to communicate with the rest of the colony. They find the place when they are looking for a new water source. They don't do anything to humans directly, but stare too long. A con-version tower! It's alive! They can't get back to the city without proof. They want to take the tower alive. The blue light is flashing, it turned red! The girling pool come quick! There's a out sider! Well, who are you? Hell received a message from the exterminators that the tower is on fire. The tower reacts to human beings by not allowing them to approach it. The whole floor is the property of the central govern-ment. They're forbidden to do anything without authority. They should think about how they're going to use the tower.
