This chapter opens with the sound of a sword being made. It's the Senior Brother's sword, and he's been making it for a long time. He's worried that his spiritual power isn't getting enough of a kick out of it. He grabs a couple of his pills and goes into the pill room to get them. The Senior Brother says that he can't eat too much of the pills because his body doesn't absorb them. So he'll have to eat some of his own spiritual power first, before he can use the pills to get his body back to full health. This sounds like a good plan, right?
