The next morning, the captain arrives at the police station to find that he has been locked up. He asks the lieutenant to go back to his office and explain what has happened. The lieutenant tells him that the captain has committed suicide and that he should return to the station immediately. The captain asks why he has to return to his station, and the lieutenant answers that he does not want to be an officer anymore. The smell of blood in the air makes the smell even more unbearable.
