The narrator tells us that Milady has been married for two months, and that she has turned in her resignation letter to the company. Milady says that she worries that her grandson will be alone in the audience, but that they will all have something to share with the audience. She tells Milady that she is sorry that she did not love Milady as much as she once did. She asks Milady not to leave her again, and Milady tells her that she will try to get Milady out of her life.
