This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between the Black Knight and the Lord of the Underworld. The Black Knight says that he's heard the name before, and that he wants to know if it's true that the man is a disciple of Ma yi . He asks if the man has come to harm the family, and the man replies that he has come only to hurt the family. He also says that the two earth stage experts treat the man with the same respect that elder tang does. The two experts treat him just as they treat the black knight. The black knight says that if he had known that li was a part of the dark underworld, he would have welcomed the young man with open arms. He says that his friend, Lin-Han, is his friend too, and he will give him a chance. He agrees to go with him to the dark island.
