In the middle of the night, the princess wakes up to find that she has been poisoned by her poison. She tells the sleeping princess that she will give her the antidote if she does as she says, but warns her not to amuse herself with her. The princess tells her that it is up to her mistress to decide what to do with her, but she does not want her to elope with the sleeping girl, as that is not her business. She also tells her mistress that she is going to sleep with snakes and that it will be very late if they do not elope
