Back at the palace, Polonius asks the fox if he likes it. Polonius tells the fox that he raised the red fox when he was a kid, and that he tamed it completely. He tells Polonius that the two have been snuggling up together ever since Polonius came in, and Polonius is jealous. He wants to know why he is alone, but Polonius says he forgot to tell Polonius something urgent happened to his family. He says he wants to make sure that Polonius knows before he leaves, but he can't wait to go to the city. He plans to send someone back to bring some other servants back with him, and he tells the cook to prepare more meat dishes for him the next day
