About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to the young author, Henry, who has just published his first novel, "A Light, Cute Love Story." We are told that he has been waiting for his friend, Sam, to contact him, but Sam has not. Henry tells Sam that he sent him a picture of his injured hand because he knew that it would get his attention and make him come to see him. He asks Sam if he knows that he is responsible for the accident, and Sam says that he does not, but Henry says that it is because of something that he hasn't done. Henry says he can finally "get over my feelings" and that they are awful. He leaves to go to the publisher. Sam wakes up, and Henry tells him that it has been a week since the accident. He says that the accident was his fault, and that the reason he was unable to play baseball was because of the injury. Henry asks Sam what he should do now, since he is obsessed with the idea of a kiss between him and Sam, and he says that they should head home. He thanks everyone who has supported him, including the publishers, and hopes that his next work will not be too bad.
