About This Chapter
In the middle of the night, Juliet is awakened by the sound of her lover's footsteps. She realizes that it is Romeo who has woken her up, and she asks him to go home with her. She is worried that he will notice that she is in love with someone else and leave her, but he assures her that he does not care. He tells her that they have been in love for 15 years, and that he has been afraid to tell her because he was afraid that she would notice that he was in love and leave him. He asks her to give him a ride home, but she refuses, saying that she feels lightheaded. She asks him what he is talking about, and he says that he is worried about losing her. He says that for the past fifteen years, he had been afraid that he would be able to reveal his true feelings to her without her noticing, and then she would leave him, but now that he can hear it, he will not hide it any longer. She tells him that he should hurry up and get a ride back home, because she is a poor middle-school student. He gives her a ride, but when she asks what is going on, he tells her it is about him talking about a donor. She says that she thought he was talking about something serious, because he had said that he had a donor and that she was worried that something happened to the donor. When she hears him say that, she realizes he is just talking about some "crap," and she tells him to stop talking. She then asks him if he is one to talk about how many days it has been since he bit her lip. He replies that it has only been two days, and Juliet says that it was only two days ago that she bit his lip. Juliet asks him how much has happened since then, and when he replies that they are worse than Romeo and Juliet, she says that in the end, he stayed by her side, but could not talk about himself until now
