This chapter opens with a description of the hut where Gu Xingyu is being held. He is still unconscious, and the hutmaster tells him that he will soon die if he does not wake up. He tells Gu that he and his father have been through a kidnapping incident and that he is worried that he might have suffered if he had not. He asks him to tell him the truth about the kidnapping, and if he thinks that he can threaten him by using this, he should leave.
