In this short scene, we learn that Eliot's son, Percy, is on his way to the river's edge with his human companion. He tells the girl that he's going to feed her water, so that she won't remember anything. He also tells her that he needs her to take him and his companion from "feral city" to "river's end" . He says that he doesn't want to do that anymore, because he'll be "a piece of shit" if he does it. He asks the girl what the hell she's doing, and she says that she was thinking of her father. She says that Percy is going to be a "mob god" and a "shithole" because of his father's death. Percy says that if he burns down his father, he will be like a "piece of shit," and that he and his companions will be "assholes" because they're going to get "human teenagers" like him. He then asks if there's anything he can do to get his father to forgive him, and the girl says that it's hard for a kid to realize that his father has killed people. Percy asks if he blames himself for killing people, and he says that maybe if the world forgives him, he can finally forgive his father. He wants to make sure that Percy's ass is next to the ghost of his dead father when the ghost comes after him.
