About This Chapter
Now that we've got a little bit of background info, it's time for the two of them to rumble. The narrator says that he's already seen the rumble in the first place, and that's because he was in a child-care facility when he woke up. He doesn't remember anything about his parents, but he does remember that he was abandoned by his parents. He's not sad, he says, and he doesn''t have any memories of his parents' faces. He says that the only thing he remembers is that his parents gave him the name "Yuma" . Yuma is the name of his father's first child, and the family name is "Mukai" , which means "the family name" in Japanese. He and the narrator have similar circumstances, so they hit it off right away. They both feel like they're different from everyone else, but they don't care, because they've only one choice: they have to put on "a show" for the sake of justice. They argue about whether or not it was a good thing that he did it, because otherwise, he wouldn't be able to save other people's lives. They agree that it was just a "kind" act, and now that the mystery is solved, they can move on.
