About This Chapter
In this short scene, the protagonist, a girl in her first year at a high school in the U.S., tells her friends that she does not like people, and that looking at flowers makes her wish she could live "off sunlight, water, and air" . She also tells them that she likes a girl named Kirika, whom she calls "a super hottie." Kirika responds by saying that the protagonist is a bit cuter than she is and that she wishes she had a girl as hot as Kirika. Kirika then tells the other girls to give her more attention and to make her "face reality" like she did with mukai. The other girls agree that they have to make the girl's face "reality," but they also agree that if they do that, her "stress bomb" will "explode" and they will all be "dead no matter what." The protagonist tells the girls that she is the one who has found a way out for them, and she is dead weight.
