About This Chapter
This is the second part of the interview between Mishima and Sugo. The first part is set in a sunny day, and Mishima complains about how hot it is and how tired he is. He tells Sugo that he wishes it weren't so hot, but that he'd rather kick a ball around in the hot sun. He also complains about the fact that the other team is ahead of him in the standings, and that if they keep fighting, they'll wind up in the same position as every other team in the world. Mishima says that he doesn't want to make fun of the situation, because he's tired of fighting and moping around. He wants to move out of the room. Sugo asks Mishima if he thinks that the team can go up the standings in the upcoming season, and he says that's possible, but if the strength of the team isn't there, then the sheen will wear off in time. He then asks Sugo if Mishima will try to fix things, while keeping a little pride, as usual. Suago says that Mishima can't really do much for the team, but Mishima is starting to have a feeling that things are going in the right way. He says that if he were a player, he would have noticed this way long ago, when he was playing for Team Japan and the King's at Shimizu. He wonders if he should try to change things, since he hasn't seen a manager like Mishima do so before. He thinks that he has never seen a player like the manager, who is trying to change the way the team thinks. He's not joking, he says, because the manager is "this good" .
