About This Chapter
In the second half of the first half, the whole of the pitch is on the attack, and the entire team is trying to defend it. Aso, Yonsuke, and Tsubaki are trying to stop the attackers, but the rest of the team is doing the same thing. Yonsuke says he's going to stop them, but he can't because they've got too many men on the pitch. He's also worried that they're giving up too many corner kicks, which is why they lost the first time around. He tells Yonsuke to keep his defense strong, because the other team is going to try to attack on a corner kick, and that's when Yonsuke will have to make a decision. He also says that he'll have to figure out a way to keep the opposing team's attack from getting too many corners, since they'll be trying to attack off the corner kick. He wonders if the other side has changed their tactics, and Yonsuke points out that they have a lot of guys on the team that are better at attacking on the corner than they were last season. He thinks that Yonsuke is even better than that, because he has both feet on the ground, which makes him more effective at luring defenders away from the goal. He adds that he knows a lot about the game, and he knows that the opposing side is starting to get stronger, so Yonsuke thinks that they just have to connect their defense with their attack.
